Even if I had NO idea that it would greatly increase the memory use, it
comfirm my gut feeling of it been a prety BAD practice.
If you uselessly use an union for a mesh, especialy if it's a big one,
you're going to burn your memory...
Just DON'T use a construct if it's not needed.
