Hi,

I am new to ray tracing and POV-Ray and am trying to create a brass cylinder
to start on a homework assignment to trace an orrery. I was wondering what
the differences between the metals in textures.inc and metals.inc are?

Thanks very much.

texture.inc contains a wide variety of textures of all types, but
metals.inc contains...metals. Specifically, many variations of metals of
each type. The textures in textures.inc are more individual and
specialized for a particular purpose. Personally, I would suggest you
only use these textures as a starting point for your own textures. Most
of them were designed at a time when POV was far more limited, and far
more realistic textures are possible now.
