im running mandrake 9.1 with the preinstalled povray modeller, and im
wondering if anybody could run me through installing povray 3.1g onto my
system as im having problems.. thanks again

What modeller? You mean KPovModeler? What problems are you having? If 
you're having problems with the modeller, you should contact the 
authors. For KPovModeler, there is a "KPovModeler Handbook" accessible 
through the Help menu which lists names and e-mail addresses.

And why are you trying to install 3.1g? That version is obsolete.
