  Checker a sphere? (Message 1 to 2 of 2)

I'm sure I've missed something obvious (late-night shortsightedness
maybe) but I'm having trouble getting a checker pattern to map itself
onto a sphere in such a way as that it looks a bit like the lat/long
lines on a globe.

Can someone please give me a clue (or a bash if I'm being really
stupid and an RTFM would readily solve my problem...)

Got It!

Sorry folks. I've always been kinda scared of UV-mapping so haven't
seen what it's all about...

sphere{
  0,1
     pigment{
          uv_mapping
          checker color rgb 0 color rgb 1 scale 0.1
     }
}

Thanks anyway - I'm sure you woulda helped... ;)
