Francois Dispot's new opensource Arabeske pattern editor 1.1.3 is out.
New features are  background image loading (and zooming  etc.) besides
the constant interface improvements.

An updated manual can be expected shortly, says the author.nb: most
changes are self-explanatory; not mentioned is that shift-click allows
