Probably I'm missing something, but where is it possible to change the
default file output directory ? I had to reinstall pov recently
(Windows), clicked too fast on a button and now all the image files are
stored directly under the root, instead of being kept in the original
scene directory... I can't find the info in the docs, or in
pvengine.ini...

Hi Gilles,
I believe you can add a line in the master povray.ini file (accessible from
the Tools menu) that specifies the output directory. Mine reads:
Output_File_Name=D:\images\

Wow, that was fast ! Actually I had to remove the line so that the output is in
the current scene directory, as I like it to be.
Thanks

& change that to "Output_File_Name=D:\images\out" so that you don't use up
heaps of space - doesn't quite work for anims
