Hello,
Someone told me about povray yesterday, and I decided to
check it out. Having much fun with rendering the demo files.
I'm using Windows 95.
One question: How do I export the resulting picture into
a file (JPG, GIF, or postscript)? Have looked around but
couldn't find anything about it in the menus and help sections.
Much thanks!
Ebe

Everytime you render an image in the Povray window an image is being
written to your hard drive. If you are using the windows version of
Povray it is probably a 24 bit .bmp file. Look for it in the same
directory as the file is located in.
Since you are a new user allow me to suggest that you take a look at
the Povray VFAQ. It answers this question and many others you are likely
to have in the near future. It was put together to answer some of the
very most frequently asked questions and you will find some great replies
in there. Also be sure to stop by my web page and visit the links section.
It contains links to tools, utilities, programs, and tutorial sites and
you will likely find no better source of Pov related material anywhere.
The VFAQ can be found at:

You can't from POV. You need a conversion utility. Plenty of
free and share ones out there. Grahics workshop maybe the best of
the cheapest. If you have been collecting any kind of graphic
utilities you probably have one that can do the conversion.
Photoshop Lite can do most anything you might want for the
internet and ia free and the conversion (save as) function is as
simple as any of them.
