I'm looking to create a couple of palm trees for a scene I'm working on,
and I thought I'd check to see if it's been done somewhere already, or
if people would have any advice on creating all those wonky shapes,
before I go putting my poor, extremely overworked and long-suffering
Performa 475 to work on experimentation with things that could take far
too long to do numerous test renderings of...

STILL using a 475? I started with POV on one, and upgraded to a G3 last
year. Have you upgraded the 68LC040 to a 68040 so you can have an FPU? I
hope so...
About your question, sorry, I don't know of any.
PS: one good thing about starting on a non FPU '040 at 25 MHz, I learned
patience with rendering. :-)

Unfortunately, yeah. And no, it hasn't got an FPU.
I really shouldn't be trying to raytrace. ^_^;
I just got a job, though, so I should have an old Power Mac in a few
weeks. (I'm planning on saving up for a G4, which ought to be out by the
time I can afford one, but hard drive problems pretty much dictate that
I get some newer equipment now, now, NOW...)
