I am trying to make an image of 2 paperclips linked together as one of my
first images. i had no problems creating the objects or making them looked
linked together, but when i rotate them, one of the paperclips looks bent,
sort of like an optical illusion.
the paperclip in the lower left looks like the bottom half has been twisted.
is there any way to fix this?

the source file is at http://www.netcore.ca/~kevind/pov/paperclip.pov
and the image is at http://www.netcore.ca/~kevind/pov/paperclip.bmp

also, does anybody know of some good projects for a beginner?

thanks,
kevin

You'd do better to have a JPG instead of BMP to show the situation. I waited 2 minutes
to finally get to see nothing but source code of the image for some reason (no, not
source of the pov file either but apparently the image source).
I'm guessing however it must be perspective camera related. See if the same thing
happens with a narrower field, 'angle 30' or less for example. You currently have the
default, meaning approximately 'angle 67'.
