Hi,

bevor I lose myself in the Pov-Ray-Doc's:

Is there a (simple) way to wrap a Heightfield around a cylinder so you can
rotate it and see the different parts of the HF?
I try to make a simple Model of a cylindrical world. It's not very large and
so a Texture is not enough, i think.

While you can't do it dierectly with Pov you can do it using an external
program like orbcyl by John Beale or the program called Leveller by
John Gardener. See my links page for the links to these programs.
