Hi,
I have some 3d models that are in 3ds (3D Studio) format. Is there any
way I can import them into povray?
Thanks,

That URL is not current any longer. As it seems it is only
http://www.stmuc.com/thbaier/ now.
Anyway, I happened to be there a minute ago, and it seems that Thomas
doesn't have a link to 3DS to POV on that page - at least I didn't see one
(only 3DWin).
Check out his other page:

All of the utilities that Thomas has to offer should be at the corrected
URL that you provided.

I thought so too, but seems that they are not :)
Well, actually, I did find a link to the 3ds converter on that page now, but
buried somewhere in the middle of the rather length "What's new" list (with
a link that leads to the other url I gave). It isn't on the "tools page" on
the stmuc server.
Johannes.

I think that's the first time I've seen 3DS/POV comparisons (at link
below). Since the POV ones are not built inside of Moray or POV-Ray
there can't be a very good "comparison" made, only differences seen.
