What a strange name for a file... the two dots I mean.

Why install pov 3.02 if you can get 3.1? That should install
correctly.

It's a shared library, and usually found in /usr/lib

AltaVista shows a number of entries for it.

Sorry but Povray 3.1 for Linux has not been released yet (when it will be
