Occasionally over the years I have used Photoshop for a little
forensics, analyzing images for modification, airbrushing and the
like.

Just today I am working on a redering for a friend that is to be
a representation of an object in a 15th century painting. The
object is also semi-mythical but from the myth is known to be
round not oval. In the painting is has an oval shape.

So render it both round and oval and neither match the scan no
matter how much of a viewing angle I use. So it dawns on me to
leave it round but use 5/3 rather than 4/3 for the camera, and
there it is. A foreshortened perspective used by the artist.

Now I have no idea how to use this in POV for a scene but for
you artists out there, it is within the capability POV.
