Hi! I need any hebrew support for pov-ray so I can use hebrew text.
When I am tring to do so, it displays another charchters than expected.
this is because a 7-bit data, not 8-bit.
There are two options, get any patch if exist or fake a font, but how can I
fake
a font to look like israelian font? pov-ray do not support non truetype
fonts yet.
besides, I will have the text upside down I think, but it is ok. I think I
can handle it
this is a lot of text so, using shapes for it will be a lot of work.

You are experiancing a known bug in the windows
version of Pov-Ray. The dos version will handle the
internatinal character sets correctly.
  If you don't want to install the dos version of Pov-Ray
there is a program called Elefont that will accept ttf's of
your choice and export to .dxf file format. It then can be
converted to a Pov-Ray mesh file. You can download
elefont at:
http://www.armanisoft.ch/

A program called Crossroads3D will convert the .dxf file
tp the Pov-Ray mesh file for you and can be downloaded
from:

http://www.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads/

Both are free programs and are worth having.

I have a truetype Hebrew font you can have if that's any help. I don't
read Hebrew so I don't know how accurate it is. Just say the word and I
can mail it to you.

Like Mark King, I have a Hebrew font. Also like Mr. King, I haven't the
slightest clue how accurate it is. The font's name is "Torah Sofer." If you'd
like a copy, let me know.

I forgot to mention ... there is a newsgroup you might want to check out,
called alt.binaries.hebrew.fonts

Surely they must have what you're looking for.
