Why are my tga files being stored in paint shop pro ( which I dont even
have).
Render me confused.

once upon a time you may have had it on your system. the image files
might still be registered to be handled by psp. If you just want
something to view the images, try acdsee.

Try opening any folder, clicking on the menu item "view" then "options"
then the "file types" tab, then scroll down the list and see if you can
find Paintshop Pro listed in file types. If it's there, click on it then
click "delete", and that file association will be gone.

If you are using windows 95, try opening windows explorer, and locate a
tga file.
Hold down the SHIFT key and press right mouse button on the image file,
and select the option 'Open with...' (I do not know if these are the
correct words, as I use the danish version), now select the application
you wish to use and press the checkbox at the button which says
something like 'Always use this app.'
