Any way i can convince you all to get this new 1.0 version to have the
old 3.1g interface... Just like the old 0.7 Mega version had... =]

That worked so well, and i would like to just stop and thank you all,
and anyone else who helped to get that old gui to work with the old
mega... Even if you can not get the old gui with this new version i am
glad to see that there is some solution for all of those that could not
use 3.5 on system 9... =] The old 0.7 with the old gui works fine for
now...
Thanks MegaPOV Team.... =]

You are joking, right? On the other hand...

>That worked so well,

So you liked having at most a single window to edit scenes? I guess there is
no way to keep someone from self-punishment.

>Ryan... =]

BTW, would you care to explain the meaning of the =] you sprinkle in all
your posts? - It is not in any smiley dictionary I (or Google for that
matter) know; and you seem to be using it to terminate each and every
sentence. I don't know your native language, but please note that in
languages using the Latin or Greek alphabeth the plain dot is commonly used
to delimit individual sentences. As such it helps the rest of the world to
read what you write, and as has been suggested to you before by others, it
would be nice if you could at least follow this most basic common agreement
and terminate your sentences accordingly to foster the understanding of
your message.

Thank you very much for understanding,

    Thorsten Froehlich

I have no agreement to conform... If you really hate it do not read it if you
like...
It is how i like to write and personalize my writing...
Sorry... =[

BTW... WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MY QUESTION...
It has been a few months since i have received a straightforward, and or
complete answer to a question or problem i have posted... ??

Then why do you use them so much? Seriously, you abuse the ellipsis
(...) even more than I do. I don't think I've ever seen a properly
punctuated sentence written by you.

Yes, but you use it *so much*. It has no meaning or content, it is
noise. Emoticons should be used to indicate emotion, not as chaotic
punctuation.

So, you don't want to make it easy for people to read your messages? Why
bother writing them?
Believe me, your messages do have a very distinct "flavor", a very bad
and annoying one. Conformity in this context is simply to make
communication possible, if you want to communicate, it is only logical
to conform to the standards for that communication. What you do is just
foolishness, your messages degenerate into near gibberish.

> BTW... WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MY QUESTION...

Absolutely nothing. Wasn't that clear?

> It has been a few months since i have received a straightforward, and or

Maybe people keep complaining instead of answering because your messages
are irritating?
If you want people to read and respond, it is a good idea to at least
try to use make your messages readable. If you don't (because it is
"boring"?!?), you have no grounds to complain about the responses you do
get.
You said above, "If you really hate it do not read it if you like..."
I won't. If it continues, I will assume you really don't want me to read
your messages, and put you in my killfile, so you won't get help from
me. Others may be more tolerant, but there aren't many Mac people here.

Yes, it is.
Anyway, I think your question has already been answered...you must be
insane to want the old GUI back. You are not likely to find someone
willing to invest the time in making the needed modifications (I think
it is a bit more than copying in the new code). You definitely won't get
support for it.

I don't think that many people are willing to go back to the old
interface.
But since all the sourcecode is available, it shouldn't be impossible for
you to do it yourself - I dont think that it is difficult, just very
timeconsuming.

Ok what about the new interface... ??
Or is that where the OS 9.x problem resides... ??

I much prefer the old interface... It will re-render while in the preview mode...
Do not ask me why but i have become accustomed to it and having to go back to the
source window before re-render was getting annoying... Plus last time i checked it
took 1 min 20 seconds for a very simple scene to render in os X on 3.5 while the
old mega took 3 seconds... Maybe i am doing something wrong... =]

Ryan... =]

Ok... how about the new interface with the mega guts... ??
I guess i have to be willing to conform to change a little... =[

Wait for POV-Ray 3.51 and the next MegaPOV based on it.
