Playing around with the apparent 3D effect of the pattern, and fixing some
mis-matched edges, I was able to fade out the edges and make it look like it's a
3D surface of the image plane.

It would make a cool desktop or 3D tattoo.

It's become very smooth and meditative, maybe pastel-like coloring will
improve this effect ?

As a tattoo, you'll need one of the best of the bests of the tattoo
artist to create that.

Is this a rendition or some kind of sorcery? It is hard to believe that
this is no 3D-model.

Michael

Right? ( Thanks :) )

But people have done the same thing with pencil and paper for a long, long time.

Me and my son were just talking about it and adjusting parameters and fixing the
mis-matched edges, and came out really well.

rgb_t_ gets that edge to fade out SO nicely.

I have been speechless for a long while, but this image generated a long
"Oooooo......"

Very, very well done!
