Hi,

Has anyone used Dave Blandston's excellent Bordered Characters includes?

I'm looking for enough documentation or instructions to get a Quick-Start basic
understanding about how to select style, and place text.

Thanks!

No. To be honest, I even never heard about them. Shame on me. :-)

Give us some samples inside the IMAGE section, if you like.

check out the 'Demo_Capabilities.pov' file, from comment "THE SCENE".

Yes, indeed, I've already copy/pasted code from that very file, and I had to
translate the heck out of whatever my result was.
The comments are indeed there, but they're scattered, and a bit hard to follow,
and it's difficult to see it as a cohesive whole.

A simple example macro call to put an "A" right where a regular text {} object
would be (at the origin :) ) would be the most useful thing.

I didn't know if I had missed an explanation or documentation file in one of the
earlier development versions....

and if your console isn't 160 chars wide as least, the documenting comments
wrap. (no prisoners taken.. :-))

agree, a "front-end" would make much difference.

fwiw, I used D Blandston's work for an "About" dialog image, but struggled a
little because there's no '@' character to use for email, say. I'll post a zip
with the scene in p.b.misc.

regards ,jr.
