yes, I actually liked a lot the entries that had water as primary source of
attention, like the whirlpool or the bridge with slight camera movement: they
looked frightfully realistic!

Awesome results, as always. Personally I don't like doing animations in
POV so much, but the entries are absolutely stunning -- great work! Also
a big thanks to Paul Bourke for organizing the SCC again. Keep up the
great work!

I wonder if that works for periodic entries which adjusted their
clocks to avoid double frames for 0.0 and 1.0. I suppose the 13.86
in the Fountain would have needed to be corrected to 13.883,
but that is probably outside human perception ;)

The animation engine has already a solution to this issue, in the form of
the Cyclie_Animation option.

I know, but you have no control over that option when submitting a
scene file and the flag was not set for the short code competition.

Nice job every one!

A big thanks to Paul for organizing SCC5.

Hope every body had as much fun as I did.

There are some amazing entries in there, well done all!

I have been rendering some of them in quite a high resolution but I cant for
the life of me find the simple util that I used to use to convert a string
of jpegs into an mpeg.

Does anyone know of a simple little util that does? (preferably one that
doesn't put "demo" or similar into all of the frames :)

Can be windows/linux, dont mind...

Thanks!

Cheers Dre

FFmpeg can do that (IIRC).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FFmpeg

You may also want to check out MEncoder (that comes with MPlayer).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEncoder

These are command line tools, but I think that there are GUI
front ends for them.

For what it's worth, I used QuickTime Pro on a Mac.

Have I said how much I am in awe of "Rays"? No? Well, I am. :-)

These may involve hunting down whoever added whichever thing it is and
torturing information out of them.
