Hi,
I couldn't check the site at all, all I got was
"You are banned from this site due to a unknown user-agent."

Now, what does that mean in real english?
Or even standard computer slang ??? I ain't got no agents running here, as
far as I know ! :-)

Karl

Don't know, but I can access the site.
kucalc, I wonder if it's good to start
with no content, but let's see how it develops.
I'll bookmark it.

Karl, I fear knucalc can't even tell you
what that message means. Most probable
that message comes from the hoster or
the system used for the site (Seems to be
done with Dragonfly CMS, see
http://www.cpgnuke.com/) Perhaps you
try if you have the same message from
that Dragonfly homepage, Karl.

Bye, Olaf.

Means the website doesn't like your webbrowser. Firefox does just fine.

But really, what is there to be seen that isn't in news.povray.org? When i
got there, it's just a web forum and there were just 2 (!) people, one of
whom suggested posting a shout message here to draw attention to the page.

Restricting access based on the user-agent string must be one of the
stupidest ideas ever.

Yes, that's probably due to your web browser. The error occurs from the CMS
I use, Dragonfly. Your web browser is probably too old (I think you'll need
to update you browser to the latest version or get FireFox) and Dragonfly
thinks your browser can't handle it.

Anyways, what suggestions do you guys have that I should put on my site?
Would all of you like to collaborate on writing a raytracer? I'm thinking
of writing it in C, like the classics: MTV, QRT or Polyray, etc. You could
find more info on my site. The link to the project:

http://raytrace.zu.uz/index.php?name=ProjectsPro&file=project&project_id=1

Oh yeah, would all of you also like to help me expand the Wiki on my site.
Perhaps we can build an encyclopedia dedicated to raytracing. That would
kind of be nice...

I don't want to argue, but there already exists a wiki site dedicated to
POV-Ray: http://www.wikipov.org/
I know it is fun to do one yourself, but ....

But that wiki is for POV-Ray. I'm talking about a wiki for raytracing, as in
general. It won't be limited just to one raytracer...

Ah good... of course!
Then you are starting a huge enterprise, I'm afraid.... :-)
