Hello,
I am studying calibration methods for 3D measurement systems using shadow
fringe projection. I developed a virtual 3D scanner with PovRay. Using
translucent structuration and a lamp far away from it, my program allows to
generate shadow grids projected on an object to map. I want now to improve
my projection system in a more realistic manner, using a lens between grid
and object to simulate the distortion of the grid through the optical
projection system. I think that it's perhaps not easy but i think that it
could be possible. Any help or advice is welcome.
Thank you in advance and best regards,

Time to look into photons. Search the documentations on that subject. There are
some sample scenes that comes with the install and some in the tutorial.
