My guess is that it treats transmit differently from filter in
calculating the alpha value, try using one instead of the other and see
what results you get.
BTW, since this is mostly a POV-Ray question and doesn't have anything
specifically to do with Windows, it probably should have gone to a group
like povray.general instead of one of the OS-specific groups. You will
be a lot more likely to get the help you need there...
