I can see a problem developing with TMP. Postings are occurring in this
newsgroup and the comp.graphics.rendering.raytracing - I think its time that
a central point of communication is set up, but I have no idea where or
how??

A mail-server is being prepared for a mailing-list (two lists, actually)
while we speak (eh, type...)
And as mentioned in the other post, I put an Idea Repository on our website,
where everyone can add his/hers ideas online:
http://www.algonet.se/~jhubert/MovieProject/ideas

I hope that helps a bit, but I also hope we will have a newsgroup somewhere
sometime. Unfortunately I don't have the resources for that.
Anybody out there?

I was thinking of another problem...

I think that it's a good idea that when people start designing objects that
they design them efficiently. This is very necessary. For instance, in
some cases you should use bump and/or image maps to simulate object normals
(like a brick bump and image map instead of making each brick). I know this
is pre-empting this a bit, but it is necessary!

How about a povray.movie.project here at news.povray.org? (or povray.TMP or
whatever...)

Sounds good to me. My ISP's newsgroup server only holds messages for a
short time, and the povray.org server is much faster also.

Colin.

There is a new group:
povray.animations.

Refresh your reader's newsgroup list of the server if needed.

Johannes.
