Both versions run on system 10.9.5 and later, Intel and Apple Silicon (M1).
These are universal binaries.

I'm running v3.7.0.9 Intel 64-bit on macOS Ventura 13.3.1.

Can I please ask if there is a way to keep the editor's colours in "light mode"
when the system is in "dark mode"? I find it hard to read code when the editor
is in dark mode.

Hi Yvo,  I downloaded the build for my M2.  It won't run, and the dialog states:


malicious software."  Then in the second paragraph:

"This software needs to be updated.  Contact the developer for more
information."

I'm on Ventura 13.6.6. Do you have any ideas how to get this to work?

There is a report that your 3.8.0 beta 2 has no EXR capability.  Could you
please check that?  If this is indeed the case, could you please check that the
OpenEXR *developer* library is installed on your system?  I know from experience
that POV-Ray will compile cleanly on GNU/Linux with the EXR and SDL libraries
missing, and it may be the same on the Mac.

I suspect your 3.7.0.9 may also have the same omission.

No OpenEXR lib installed on my system.

I also think that the “unofficial” version compiled by Yvo does not take 
into account the exr. The Mac version does not accurately reflect the 
official versions of Povray nor is it a "linux version".

And effectively, there is the same issue with version 3.7 (r4 in my case).
