Hi,

is there any blob-creating software that can run under Windows 7 and
where the download URL is safe? Thanks.

hi.
You can do that with Blender; Adding objects with Shift+A menu. Note that you
have to enter edit mode after adding your first blob (using TAB hotkey) so that
they are declared in the same object and the blob elements can actually merge.

Sounds promising, thanks. And the blob can then be exported to POV-Ray?
Or would it be just a mesh?

I've not used blobs in Blender yet but using the PovRay Exporter, that
comes with Blender. You can render the blob and your scene, directly.
You can also export it as a mesh.
If you look at the exported Pov scene you can copy the blob code.

BTW The Blender name for a blob is a meatball (no spaghetti. ;) )

Don't thank me until you see how much there is to learn in Blender.

Having said that it is almost a "one stop shop" for all.

I was believing it was meatballs, with me not knowing the Blender jargon!
