It would be interesting if POV-Ray, upon completion (or at least 
termination!) would report the stats on the scene (such as number of 
primitives, rays cast, CPU time, etc) to a central database (either 
locally or on the web).

Well, OK, what would *really* be interesting would be the results over 
time.  Especially seeing how usage patterns evolve.
