I've been putting some captions on images using text objects.  I find that 
it's fuzzy, most likely due to default AA settings which are otherwise great 
for making nice renderings of objects.

Any tricks to overcome this, aside from the trouble of inserting text in an 
image editor?

Why would this be easier than doing it in an image editor? I'm lost on 
that one. This method produces good results, but I'm sure doing it with 
an editor would be faster, unless you've produced a macro to auto-resize 
the cell box depending on the amount of text.
