I just wanted to inform you that I moved the Speed Guide from my 
personal homepage to the POV Wiki (http://www.wikipov.org) for different 
reasons. It can now be found at

http://povray.tirnalong.com/ow.asp?SpeedGuide

(The version on my homepage will be taken offline soon).

While porting the guide into the wiki, I also updated it along the 
suggestions made in this thread. I would have done so earlier, but Real 
Life (tm) thought different about that :)

Thank you all for your tips & criticism, and feel free to comment on the 
ported version.
