Sorry if this is a known bug, I don't read the groups religiously.

In the message window after a recent render I got this info:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time For Parse: 0 hours 0 minutes 1.0 seconds (1 seconds)
Time For Photon: 0 hours 0 minutes 3.0 seconds (3 seconds)
Time For Trace: 2 hours 13 minutes 43.0 seconds (8018 seconds)
Total Time: 2 hours 13 minutes 42.0 seconds (8022 seconds)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The seconds add up, but the long format times are screwy.

Tim

Sorry, brains not working yet, my specs:
Win2000 SP3, POVRay for Windows 3.5
dual P3-1000, 256ram

And, oh crap, just saw the email is wrong, wow haven't posted to this server
for awhile.

Seeing that you hadn't any responses until the later message I figured I'd
look for this one.

I never noticed this happen. Maybe it would be a peculiar effect but I have
to wonder if a dual CPU system could mess up the time calculation.

Thanks for the response!

I looked back through the rerun dialog stats and found another instance of
this. Probably pointless, but included are the stats. Both occurences are
on the same scene but I have not yet been able to reproduce it again.
Unfortunately its a somewhat slow to render scene and so has only been
rerendered a few times so far. Will get back if I find anything.

Weird. Don't have clocks that run backward at home, do you? Only joking. I'm
going to be paying closer attention to the times now. If it happens on this
typical single CPU computer too maybe it's something amiss in the way the
program handles that. But if a really rare occurance then no one might ever
see this happen too. Maybe Chris Cason knows how the timings could have
gotten buggy since he added a CPU counter too. Just might be too obscure a
thing going on too though, not like it's doing much but slipping up a digit.
