Ops... apparently I didn't... sorry about that.

Hey, this is great news! I'm just about to be forced to use the
library's computers for my internet access, and they don't allow
newsreaders there.

Dear Admins:

Please add word wrap to the web posting system. It is annoying to have to
scroll horozontally just to read what I have written earlier while writing
a post, and I don't want to have to hit enter at the end of each line as it
stuffs up the word wrap in the final post.

Thanks. Great feature. I really like the way things are builded and
implemented in pov-community. And I hope my questions and criticism is
usually creative :-)

And first feature request (yes, Ingo, I will never stop)
Can it be possible to define pov-sig within user account?

> As far as the supported character set is concerned

Coward ;-)

Yes, if you have your user id cookie enabled (as you need cookies to view
the site anyway, this should be no big problem), you may enter it in the
"Personalise" section of the web view website and it will send you another
cookie with the signature (compressed to keep it small, of course).

Some browsers may not support word warp in text input areas but browser
limitations are out of our control. Sorry!

It will word warp the text for you before posting as you noticed, of course.

ABX, what about using a normal "l" (even if it's pronounced differently)?
Or just "ABX"? That would avoid many problems.

This is displayed the same as it is holded in user account probably.

That's probably only solution :-(

The invisible MID should be made visible and put after "Post a reply to
this message".

"Reply" is AFAIK for email, it should rather be "Followup".

The signature separator (right word?) "-- " isn't displayed.

The signature is quoted.

There should be a blank after the quoting-">" IMO.

There's always one more blank line at the end quoted.

The server converts a &#xxx; to a single character in plain-text messages.

Nevertheless: Great work!

I will put it after the message in the future. The message ID will remain
invisible however.

> "Reply" is AFAIK for email, it should rather be "Followup".

Like google does? Hmm...

> The signature separator (right word?) "-- " isn't displayed.

It never was. And it isn't specified as a signature separator anywhere
either...

> The signature is quoted.

The whole body of a message is quoted. A signature is part of the body and
this it is quoted. How could the server guess what a signature is reliably?

> There should be a blank after the quoting-">" IMO.

I will see how this can be improved.

> There's always one more blank line at the end quoted.

There is always one blank line in messages in the web view. I will see how
this can be improved when quoting.

> The server converts a &#xxx; to a single character in plain-text messages.

HTML is not supported in posts. Only plain text message texts are.

> Nevertheless: Great work!

Thanks!

    Thorsten

PS: It may take a few weeks until those changes will be made. RL does not
permit me to make them earlier.
