Version 2 was released about a month ago.

POV would not be the same without the unbeaten user support. The
documentation is no exception.

I have to reiterate a previous posting praising the documentation. The
compiled help version is sooooooo much easier to navigate, and I _really_
appreciate the include file reference! I think this version will save a lot
of RTFM questions on the newsgroups.

Me too! Of course (sod's law) new features generate their own feature-requests.
The colours.inc reference has samples of the colours (great!) - how about the
same for stones, glass, metals, etc?

I think it's the opposite: Now that the documentation has more stuff,
there will be more questions to which the answer will be "RTFM" and thus the
number of "RTFM" question will increase. :)

That would be way too big to include in the compiled documentation, but the
portfolio is probably just what you're looking for. Look in

It's nice to be able to give people a number aswell if possible, I seem to
remember the 3.1 built in docs didn't have any numbering.

Would be even nicer if the Contents of the help included the numbers. But
then again, typing the number in the index search is even better... ;)

True, but to be fair, a raytracing algorithm is fairly simple compared
to some of the other things involved in computer graphics.
