We should be cafeful to refer to it as the beta release of POV-Ray v3.5
to avoid any confusion.

True.

But the beta version of POV-Ray 3.5 is far more complete and well-tested
than even the most final version of MegaPOV.

"A few days" can mean anything really...

Well, as I can't hold my breath for a few minutes, I won't
even try for a few days and I think I can survive till the
release. I am anxious though......

Having been involved with the beta release of 3.1 I can assure you that
once 3.5 goes beta you will be amazed at how many more bugs are going
to pop up. POV-Ray 3.1 went to release "g" before it was final!

And all the haste there have been the last few days may add to this
effect... :(

But the bugs aside, the way the features are implemented is better and also
the documentation is highly improved in 3.5.

All,

University? Great, thank you. I've learnt a lot (although not much about
the subject I was meant to be studying ;-) )

In the wake of events of 09/11/01 I created this in haste, feel free to
use: http://www.users.totalise.co.uk/~gredway/blackflag.gif
