Hy,
I have large meshes with single nodes at the triangles. Now I want to
merge identical nodes in order to generate smooth triangles. Do you know
know a fast (!) algorithm for this and do you know in addition a fast
(!) algorithm for unifying the normals in direction ("inside/outside") ?

Thanks

I think my triangle mesh smoother does exactly that. It's not the fastest
possible, but the algorithm should be well documented.
