Does anyone know how to make a good landscape because I can't figure it out.
So if anyone can help It would be very helpful.  Or if anyone had any code
that I could look off of and study it would be a great help

There are several samples included with povray to do this with heightfields. 
For using isosurfaces, check out the megapov sample package.
