The POV-ers Photo Album at
http://home.earthlink.net/~grasshoppah/povers.html has been improved (I
hope...) by adding a text box to each entry where y'all can write a little
something about yourselves, in the way of introductions. In fact, you don't
even need a photo to participate, you can just submit a text intro. Then, if
you get a photo later, you can add it. Hopefully this change will boost
participation significantly.
Some other deficiencies have been corrected as well. The page is no longer
designed for 1024x768 mode, it should look right at 800x600 and higher.
There won't be a "featured artist," due basically to the fact that most
people probably already keep tabs on the povray.binaries.images stuff
anyway. I would like to add some type of logo though, so maybe one of the
logo contestants will give me permission to plagiarize their work...
Rune is planning a sister site to the Photo Album to allow longer
introductions. The plan is that these two sites will be cross-linked, so if
the little text box on the Photo Album isn't big enough for your
introduction, you can add more detail on Rune's site.
For anyone who has already sent me a picture, please feel free to add an
introduction. If you have any special (reasonable) formatting requests, just
explain what you want and I'll try to do it for you. For example, if you
want a link to your homepage, instead of showing the http://... address, you
may want to show the actual title of the page instead.

You could add a link to http://tag.povray.org in my case. No need to
duplicate descriptions.
