I had been thinking of something a little similar, but have not come around
to making it yet.
What I though of was a website where any pov'er could have his photo, a
short decribtion of himself (maybe like those descriptions at
tag.povray.org), and age, country/state/town, etc., (like in The List of
Ages).
With such a website it would indeed be easy to remember who is who in all
respects (name, personality, and appearance).
Another option would be to have some kind of linking system between the
different pages than contains information about POV-Ray people. For example
in the photo album next to the picture of Mr. X there could be links such as
"see description for Mr. X", "see age and town of Mr. X", "see location of
Mr. X on map of the earth". Each link would go to the same person on another
webpage. The disadvantage would be that it would be less quick and simple
for the user. The advantage would be that no webpages would become redudant.

I think we are already a warm, caring community, but everything can always
be made even better! :-)
I welcome your initiative, I just don't have a fitting picture of myself in
digital form, so I can't participate myself.

Of all of the pictures posted so far I like this one the best. It
shows the typical POV-Ray user asleep at the computer waiting for
yet another long render to finish.
