None of the viewing windows render on Win NT sp6 - what was previously in the
same position on the screen before hamapatch opens remains in the view
windows, even if the main win is moved around

Hi Pabs, you recently wrote in povray.general:

Whew, so it's not only my NT4 system<g>. I was beginning to wonder
whether I'd missed something blatantly obvious.

Damn! Every time I get round to playing with a copy of that program, a
new version comes out :)
I'm not complaining, I'm NOT!
Well, I'll grab the new version and see if the grid snap has been fixed
(or at least improved to something like how sPatch's grid snap worked),
and if it has, then I shall prostrate myself in the general direction of
Japan <grin>
Bye for now,
Jamie.

Ah well, the grid snap still doesn't snap your points to the grid
intersections. Never mind.
One other thing which I would find really useful is the addition of the
click that sPatch makes whenever you weld two vertices. Without it, it
can sometimes be tricky to tell if you actually hit the button properly
(esp. if you're welding a lot of points)
I'll stop waffling and ask one sensible question. Does Hamakazu (sp?)
read English? 'Cos I don't speak or type a word of Japanese <grin>
If he does, then maybe I'll send some requests with the email of
congratulations and thanks I was going to send.
Bye for now,
Jamie.

If you like, me and my japanese dictionary can take a wack at having a
conversation with him (her?). :)

he does understand english, somewhat, not sure to what extent but he was
able to understand the one message I sent him. I'd encourage you to try, as
I have absolutely no control over hamaPatch's development.

No need, but thanks for the offer.
Besides, you'd need more than just a dictionary, I think you'd need
Japanese font support installed and it would all get far too complicated
:)
I think I'll fling off an email some time this weekend.
Bye for now,
Jamie.

Japanese also includes a romanicised system for the words. How else do you
think I read my dictionary? :)

I know, IIRC it's called Romanji, as opposed to katakama or the other
three alpahabets...
But I've already sent the email, so it's a bit recundant at this point
<grin>
Bye for now,
