This is probably old history by now but ...
Saw a request re chemical modelers in one of the groups a little while
back and just seen a review for shareware PovChem. Takes molecules in
PDB format, lets you setup display then exports in Pov format for
render. From PDSL http://www.pdsl.com  who also supply a CD _Ray
Tracing & Fractal Toolkit_ with DOS and Win versions of pov included
on the CD.
