Hi.
povray.bugreports split on two groups.
povray.bug.reports and povray.bug.discussion
povray.bug.reports will be for bug report.
If I found some bug, I'll send them to povray.bug.reports.
If it is real bug, not false alarm, discusion about them will be translated
at povray.bug.discussion.
povray.bug.discussion will be like povray.bugreports
povray.bug.reports will decrease messages on povray.general group.
Here is my short suggestion for new groups at news.povray.org..
povray.unofficial.patches.bug
povray.unofficial.patches.announce
povray.unofficial.patches.misc
povray.wanted.macro
povray.wanted.object
povray.wanted.source
povray.wanted.tools
povray.wanted.formula
povray.wanted.doc
povray.wanted.misc
povray.comment.source
povray.comment.povfileformat
povray.comment.wishs
povray.comment.misc
povray.tools.announce
povray.tools.bugs
povray.tools.howtodo

We (the members of the POV-Ray Technical Assistance Group) have discussed
this with the POV-Team already. We came to the conclusion that suspected
bugs are best discussed here in .general. When the bug is verifiable then
an approprate worded bug report is sent to the official bug report group.

For the same reason that we decided not to create a discussion group
for bug reports these additions you advocate would seriously increase
the number of groups that people would have to visit on a daily basis.
While some people have a lot of time to spend on line other do not.
With the 30 some odd groups we have already it would be hard to keep
up with the number of groups you are suggesting. Memebers of the
POV-Team like to offer support here as well as members of the POV-Ray
TAG but with so many discussions spread out across so many groups it
makes it not only difficult to keep up with everything it also makes
it difficult to find previous articles for reference sake. The addition
of additional groups would compound that problem.
It is our goal to only add as many groups as necessary to properly
categorize discussions while keeping everything manageable.

Of course, if traffic increases so much that one or more groups are getting
too many messages, then we would definately reconsider creating new groups.
