Hi everyone,
this is to announce that the official release of Moray V3.2 is now
available for downloading from our website at:
http://www.stmuc.com/moray/medown.html
This is a free upgrade for registered users of Moray V3.1. You will
need your registration details to make this a registered version after
installation.
Currently only the full install (4MB) is available. It is safe to
install it over an existing installation.
While we're pretty sure that there are no serious bugs in this
release, but if you do find any, please let us know.
Please report bugs either by posting here or by using the included
SoloBug reporter.
Have fun!

is it safe to run it side by side with an older version?
eg install it to \Moray3.2 with an older copy installed in \Moray3.1 - or
will that be more trouble than its worth?
i have a scene on the go ya see, and want to finish it in the version i
started it in (call it unknown bug fear!)

Hi Rick [Kitty5], you recently wrote in moray.win:

Hmmm. Depends on how you define safe.
By default they use the same registry branch, which means that things
will mess up (for example, you'll be asked to configure POV-Ray every
time you switch version).
It will probably work if you make Moray 3.2 use a different registry
branch. You can do this by editing the RegistryBase key in MORAY.INI
and making a new branc.. No guarantees though. And if you're not
comfortable with editing the registry, I'd recommend against it<g>.

Yes, I think so.

There should no serious bugs left in this version (famous last words,
I know<g>). And if there are I can always make a new exe available....

i am allways fiddling in there - no problems..

the way my computer is behaving at the moment, i would rather stick to tried
and tested software - for some reason my hd sometimes makes a nice clunk
noise then stops responding (usually in the first 10 mins of use in the
morning when its been sitting cold all night) , but 99% of the time works
fine, and there are a couple of other bugs associated with ie5 (it will gfp
after i close all windows after a long netting session then the gpf will not
go away)

I've got the same $%^#@ problem. I actually found a reference to the
problem on the web (put out by Microsoft) that gave three possible causes.
If you'd like, I can hunt it up again for you, but I can tell you right now
it was of no use to me. I went through all the "cures" (even for the
problems which made no sense for --"oh you're trying to access a
flibbergoofaw on the moon of stratajumdara and they haven't fixed *their*
bugs yet, not our fault, but here's how you fix it.") and none of them
worked.
I will say I'm running the new Moray version without problem, though (since
the first beta). Of course, your mileage may vary. ;)
