I've made a website, finally :-)
It's still uploading, but index.htm is already there.
http://www.crosswinds.net/~povplace/
It's still under construction. The gallery is functional.

Hey! you took my name! Just kidding, there's enough room for 2 pov
places out there.
I like graphic on the main page - it would be pretty cool with some
rollovers, and your IRTC images are impressive. Keep working on it!

Well, I don't have enough time to finish my Ruins-image, so...
Maybe next month, next topic...
Who cares.
I mean: if I can show you guys my images, I'm happy. I don't need a
competition! I don't need to know if I'm the best or not to like
raytracing!
BTW: uploading is nearly completed. Well, of the parts that are
functional, that is :-) (only the gallery)
I actually intended to name it the POV-PAGE, but when I rendered the
main-menu, which took me 5 hours (radiosity used), I noticed I typed
POV-PLACE instead. So now it's yet another POV-PLACE :-) Sorry 'bout
that.
Rollovers would be cool indeed, but the HTML is made entirely in
notepad, and I don't know how to do such rollovers (changing parts of
the image if your mousecursor is above it, or something like that)
I'm happy with it. Maybe in the future I will add some effects, but
that's a future far far away.

Wow, I've just went back and looked at the other images and the site
really looks nice. i guess I got caught the first time with just a few
uploaded. I love some of the misc images (and others) - I think this site
could really shape out well. Good luck.
As for the rollovers, don't hesitate to copy my javascript - I just copied
it from somewhere in the first place anyway. Its really easy to learn. But
if you're satisfied with it the way it is, don't worry about it.

Thanks, I'll need it :-) I mean: I already made two sites before
(this is my first POV-related site), but they're both outdated. I
can't find the time to update them regularly.

I'll see what I can do. It might indeed be better.

this should work. if it doesn't, try reformatting some stuff (put the image in
a table and move the Mouse tags out of the img block, stuff like that). (I was
having some trouble at first for some reason but I got it to work) Also it is
a good idea to check the browser for compatability;
browserVer=parseInt(navigator.appVersion); if(browserVer>=3) {...} else {...}
<HTML>
...
<BODY>
<script language="JavaScript">
button_foo_on = new Image(height,width);
button_foo_on.src = "bla";
button_foo_off = new Image(height,width);
button_foo_off.src = "bla";
...
function ButtonOn(imgName)
{
document[imgName].src=eval(imgName+"on.src");
}
function ButtonOff(imgName)
{
document[imgName].src=eval(imgName+"off.src");
}
</script>
...
<img src="bla" name="button_foo_" onMouseOver="ButtonOn('button_foo_')"
onMouseOut="ButtonOff('button_foo_')" ...>
...
</BODY>
</HTML>
