Real programmers write the machine code directly to a disk with a tiny
magnet on the end of a pin.

Why, when there's this wonderful little utility called 'debug'?

Well, if that's the case, then they're no long confronted with nothing
but Basic, ne c'est pas?

(As I recall, I used debug to write a couple .COM programs...)

Breaveness has not much to do with it.... I'm afraid he is very sick and
the men in the long white coats will come and take him away first. Lets
just hope he can post the .BAS first *grin*

Time off?? You're done???

I made an "emergency backup" version of my animation this weekend. It's
quite buggy, and I hope I have time to complete all my scene fixes before
the deadline! Less than 104 hours to go!

Yes, oddly enough; I usually am uploading my entry about a day before
the deadline.

...and I got it to run on the first try. Now I'm going to have to
print out your program description and see if I can get anything
useful out of it...

If folks take the time to read the Windows installation (98 at
least, likely all of them) disk they will be directed to a goodies
directory that is not installed with Windows. QBASIC 1.1 is there along
with a few other "useless" things like filecomp and such. After all we
wouldn't want to confuse people with technical things.
