Was she surprised? I should think that if she was, you should
be flattered.

Wonderful disk, very artistic. Perhaps a rotating version (MPEG/AVI) would
be handy for those unable to read upside down ;-)

I've checked out doing a rotation of it and it would be a huge file in order
to see clearly enough, slow and legible.
The alternative is to render several viewing directions and put them into a
Avi or Mpg so as to switch over a period of time from one frame to the next,
and maybe just use a pause manually to see each.

Maybe just a closeup moving over the surface of the rotating disk
instead of full views?

That's sort of what I tried, I spiraled the camera outward from the center
like a reversed record player (okay, like a CD-ROM drive [and not reversed
then either ;-)]).
The number of frames goes up so much that the file gets very large, though
of course it would still be of reasonable size for upload to a web space,
that is if a couple megs or more is reasonable.

How about rendering only 4 images, make an imagemap divided like this:
<warning type="Bad ASCII-art">
___________
\ /
\ /
\ /
\ /
X
/ \
/ \
/ \
/ \
-----------
</warning>
The 4 regions is linked to the appropriate image. Should be an
economical and useful solution.
