I'd like to do that but right now the scene involves 55 Mb of meshes and
image_maps so I have to simplify it a little before I can send anything...

I'd have to send you the file for making the water heightfield and the rest
of the sources. I have to study for bimestral exams right now, so it'll be a
while. I'll go back to 3.1e if it solves my problem.

If it helps I've been having crashes too they seem to be related to normals
especially when attached to HF's

I've been getting inconsistent crashes after rendering parametric{} objects.
I haven't got a file that winSPg crashes on consistently though.

Today I merged UVPov with the superpatch and ran into that problem. It was
with a HF that was generated from a pattern. I have added some code that
stopped the crash. You'll have to wait about a week for the next release of
UVPov, though. I'm working with smellenbergh to create
UVPov+SuperPatch+MultiPatch. :-)

I've been having a problem that appears to be the same involving crackle
pigments applied to a height_field.

I found an editor that has a large number of smiley faces
on a sidebar and they can be included in the text with
a double click. It is called Note Tab. Find it at
http://www.notetab.com/snt.htm
