Warp has been hard at work rewriting his Mesh Compressor in C++, and
version 2.0 is now available from the POV-Ray Include Files Page:

In addition to converting triangle or bezier patch meshes into PCM
format for use with the Compressed Mesh macros (including the Hair
Growth macro file), the program now allows you to convert triangle
meshes into mesh2 format for use with Nathan Kopp's UV-Pov.
