The POV-Team learned a long time ago not to give release dates becuase
people bug the heck out of them. When it is ready it will be released
and not before then.

And to add to what Ken said, it'll probably first show up as a beta.
There's no compuserve forum anymore so i would think they might go public
with the first one. I would also guess it'll be out around January, just
because that would be a cool time to do it. :)

I hope they will not follow the trend of software versioning and be
calling it "POV-Ray 2000".

Surely not. I'm certain it will be called POV2K.

Nah, it'd be spelled right. :)

Stupid spanish... aargh! It really messed me up. I'm having serious trouble
getting ready for my SAT because of it. I don't know any of the terminology
in english. I just learned what a _mean_ is in mathematics. I feel stupid,
and I know I'm not.

POV-Ray: Millennium Edition (or POV-Ray 2001, a trace odyssey)

PS: Sorry, I couldn't help myself. =)

I had the same problem when I applied to US universities (all required the
SAT). You want to apply to a US university, too?
Knowing math well didn't help, especially with the lots of different terms.
I also had problems with the different types of triangles - it is really
_hard_ to answer if you simply don't understand the question :-( But don't
worry, if the first time doesn't work out that well, take it again :-)
