Good idea, when OT conversations stop going, cancel your posts. I'm
canceling in "stop it!", "Food for thought...", and probably "Spelling".

There is now a new news group called povray.off-topic just added for the
purpose of redirecting off topic posts to an appropriate forum. In this
case the appropriate forum is off topic conversations. Duh !

So what happens if an OT exchange on the new group devolves to the
point that POV, or aspects thereof, is discussed? Wouldn't they
then be off topic for that group? How about povray.off.off-topic?

I think that deleting old threads should be a last resort. there is some
great information on this server form way back that I keep as reference. If
there was going to be a purging, I would volunteer web space to post
messages that were purged, with the server admin. approval, of course.
