solution to. Please assist me. A few days ago Netscape when funny on my
when I tried to download an animation: Me walking, or something like
that. It crashed. Now, every time I want to see a message with an
animation attached I can't stop the crash. Example: click, download,
done, crash. Example: click, click another message, crash. What can I
do? I want to see the animations you guys post. Please help me.

What are some details of your system and what version of Netscape are
you using? Also, can you give a better description of what happens when
it crashes?

I'd suggest clearing your cache out then. Remove the old message
posts, maybe it has something to do with a bad message being kept.

I use netscape 4.61 and I've been having trouble with
p.b.i. images downloading more than once. The image
downloads, clears out and then downloads again.

I'm using the same version and do not have that problem. Do you open
each image in it's own window or do you view with split windows ?
I use the split window mode without a problem though I have heard
this complaint from others in the past.

I get that too. Very annoying when I get the image, it starts reloading
then stalls :(
I'm using 4.61 on Linux.

Cheers, PoD.

I view attachments inline. This never happened 'til I upgraded to
4.61.

I get the problem with version 4.04.

I don't think I have ever had a problem with MPG's. AVI's are often
unreadable at all, and GIF's show up as a slow moving stream of stills,
with no repeat.

So you have had this problem and this solved it for you? Won't this cause
all my messages to be unread and won't I loose really old messages? Or
does the pov news server keep all of them?
