Hi there! I'm Brendan Ryan.
If anyone knows the formula that POV-Ray uses to calculate the normal
vectors for smooth triangles, please let me know. I just want to make
one or two smooth triangle and play around with them.
By the way, I'm using POV-Ray 3.1g in Windows 95.

The calculations are detailedly explained.
Perhaps the program itself may directly do what you want, though.
