The following crashes my install of Pov without fail. Would you confirm this
for me. I tried a hyphen after just colors.inc and similarly after just
textures.inc but alone neither will crash. Combined together with the hyphen
after textures.inc is when I get the program crash.
/*** Start of code ***/
#include "colors.inc"
#include "textures.inc'
/*** End of code ***/
Povray for windows v3.1g
pentium 200 mmx
128 megs edo ram

Note this bug does not occur in Povray for windows v3.01.watcom.win32
version of the program so it appears to be new for v3.1x

In my SunOS compile I get the error:

I get the identical error message in windows Pov v3.01 but it crashes in the
2 official windows versions of Pov 3.1r1 and v3.1g

Thanks for the confirmation. I have posted a properly worded bug report in
the appropriate place.

It seems to be a winpov problem. Have you tried with the dospov? If
it doesn't crash, then we can be sure.

I don't have it installed. Well I do have v2.2 installed but it would be
a poor evaluation.

Can you get an invalid page fault with the DOS version ?
Can you get an invalid page fault with the SunOS version ?
Is not an invalid page fault a windows specific error message and related
only to that OS ?

Works right in the Mac version, though. You get this message in the
status window, and the render aborts.
#include "textures.inc'
<----ERROR
crashtest.pov:3: error: No end quote for string.Reclaiming memory
